Today in our publication we will show you how to activate FPS in Minecraft in the easiest way.

As we know Minecraft is one of the popular games on Steam and Windows PC. It has retro-style graphics that consume a gigantic amount of computer resources, so the frame rate (FPS) can drop, affecting the quality and playability of Minecraft.

Without a doubt, FPS improves the visual experience by making it fast and fluid. You must have 60 FPS while playing Minecraft to have a good experience, we explain more about this below:

How To Turn On FPS In Minecraft

Viewing Frame Rate (FPS):

1. In-Game Debug Screen (Simple and Integrated):

Press the F3 key while actively playing Minecraft. This displays a debug overlay showcasing various technical information, including your current FPS prominently displayed in the top left corner of the screen.

If the F3 key doesn't function initially, some keyboards require pressing the FN key (often located near the bottom left corner) in conjunction with F3.

2. Xbox Game Bar (Windows 10):

Enable the Xbox Game Bar within Windows Settings > Gaming.

While in-game, press Windows Key + G to launch the Xbox Game Bar.

Click on the Performance tab to view your current FPS. This overlay can be pinned for continuous monitoring during gameplay.

3. Optifine Mod (Enhanced Functionality):

Download and install the Optifine mod following the official guide: https://www.optifine.net/.

Launch Minecraft and navigate to Video Settings.

Within "Other settings," locate and enable the "Show FPS" option.

Optifine offers the additional benefit of setting a maximum FPS limit for optimized performance.

4. Third-Party Tools (Alternative Solutions):

Software like Fraps provides FPS overlays without relying on F3 or Optifine. These tools often include screen capture functionalities.

Download and install Fraps (https://fraps.com/).

Launch Fraps and click on the "99FPS" section in the top left corner.

Configure hotkeys to activate and deactivate the FPS overlay as needed.

5. Nvidia GeForce Experience (For Nvidia Users):

Download and install Nvidia GeForce Experience (https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/).

Log in to your Nvidia account and launch Minecraft.

Press Alt + Z to access the Nvidia overlay.

Click on "In-Game Overlay" and activate the FPS counter.

Choose a layout for the FPS counter and position it within your gameplay window.

Enhancing Frame Rate (FPS):

Adjust Graphics Settings: Reducing in-game graphics settings like render distance, resolution, and texture quality can significantly improve FPS. Experiment to find the optimal balance between visual fidelity and performance.

Minimize Background Applications: Close unnecessary programs running in the background to free up system resources for smoother gameplay.

Allocate More RAM (Advanced): If you have sufficient system RAM, allocating more to Minecraft can enhance performance. Research your system's capabilities for optimal RAM allocation.

With these methods, you can effectively monitor your FPS in Minecraft and explore options to potentially improve the game's overall performance. Remember, a smooth and responsive experience can significantly improve your enjoyment of Minecraft.
