Greatest Sports-Related Commercials of 21st Century

Sports commercials can be amongst some of the best commercials to ever be created, as many of them will appeal for a number of different reasons.Indeed, there are going to be a number of different reasons as to why these particular commercials resonate so much with their audiences, although many will be able to get behind the sport as it is something that truly appeals to them, thus making them memorable and impactful as they can be.Plenty of the adverts that are created will obviously be designed to get a particular message across, although they will do it in various ways, such as trying to play on emotions that can be created or by using some of the biggest names in sports at the time to make things as impactful as ever. These are just some of the greatest sports commercials to have been released:

Unibet’s March Madness

Basketball fans would have been disappointed that they were unable to watch any of March Madness last season, however Unibet decided to play on those emotions of missing the competition last year by providing a commercial that was truly impactful.Of course, with the tournament being a popular betting opportunity for those that use PA Sports Online Betting bookmakers, Unibet created an advertisement that effectively whetted the appetite of those who witnessed their commercial by playing on the fact that everything had been doubled.

Nike Football - “The Last Game”

Perhaps one of the most memorable commercials for football/soccer fans is Nike Football’s “The Last Game” advertisement. The campaign was released prior to the 2014 FIFA World Cup and featured a number of the world’s best footballers who would be competing at the tournament in Brazil all appearing as an animation. There were a number of the biggest names all involved, with Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar Jr, Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic playing against a rival team of clones in a truly epic animated storyline. Indeed, there were also plenty of different musical features to the advert as well, with all genres appearing to be covered in what is arguably one of the best sports commercials to have ever existed.

Procter & Gamble - Olympics

Procter & Gamble, who are simply known as P&G, are a powerhouse when it comes down to owning a portfolio of products, however they entered the sports commercial market when the Olympic Games were taking place. They have had numerous adverts for many of the recent editions of the Olympic Games, with their “Thank You Mom” campaign in 2012 ahead of the London Olympic Games being just one of them. The advert, which is accompanied by Ludovico Einaudi’s “Divenire” piano instrumental, pulled at the emotional strings of viewers as they witnessed a number of young children in various corners of the world being taken to different sports practices by their mothers as they prepared themselves to try and compete at the Olympic Games when they were older. There is perhaps no bigger pull than a person’s love for their mother, which is why this sports-related commercial proved to be a huge hit and one that many will remember forever.

Nike Football - ‘Take It To The Next Level’

Nike Football also had success in 2008 ahead of that year’s UEFA European Championships with their ‘Take It To The Next Level’ commercial which saw viewers take on the role of a hopeful footballer looking to make a splash in the world’s game.British director Guy Ritchie had created the commercial and made an advert that showed all the hard work and the determination the individual needed to make as a footballer, with a soundtrack being applied that would add to the idea that being a sports star was like being a rockstar. In the end, the player could be seen going up against Lionel Messi and FC Barcelona, whilst then going on to represent their country at a major tournament, therefore highlighting that dreams do come true!-
